Superb image Bob - well done! You've caught the falcon in an excellent pose, just exactly as it feasts on its prize. The out of focus background enhances the image too, especially as there aren't any recognisable objects back there! Thanks for sharing it. Keep shooting! Nick

Hi Bob I'm pretty sure this is a Little Stint. Was it taken on either the east river or the drain that runs around the Kalloni salt pans by any chance. Regards John

I just love this photo. Well thought out and well captured. I love the title as well. Was this taken on the drain that surrounds the salt pans. I tried to get a similar shot myself there the week before you went and failed miserably. Regards John

Hi Bob Cracking image of this insect. I got some good photos of it in Lesvos this year also but I don't think it is called a Three Winged Antlion. I have it down as Nemoptera sinuata. Check it out and see what you think. Regards John

Hi Neil, The Pom is finishing off a black headed gull, apparently it killed and ate 2 BHGulls during its stay.Fantastic opportunity to see a Pom at such close quarters.Cheers, Bob
